pleasant surprise near the sea
clean room spacious shower hot water
i booked a standard twin room. the room was clean. i found a spacious walk in shower with plenty of hot water and toiletries (just what i needed after a long day of travel).

lovely stay near the sea
lovely shower comfy bed spacious room
the breakfast offered good value. the shower was really lovely! the bed was quite comfy, i slept really well each night. the room, in general, was quite spacious.
paying extra for parking was annoying, though the bar staff were very friendly indeed.

the hotel features a bright, cheerful bar with really kind staff that i visited most evenings, though i didn't eat there. the menu looked good, and i did order the packed lunch on my last day.

The room was large and comfortable with a good view, i enjoyed it. the mattresses were comfortable. I slept soundly each night. extra pillows were provided in the room which was very nice.

the reception staff member was lovely. he was a real credit to the hotel! as soon as he saw it was my birthday, he upgraded us to a superior room, which i greatly appreciated.

breakfast was great with lovely views from the front. it was nice to see a buffet breakfast for a change, i found lots of food to enjoy! i was very satisfied.

Acceptable stay, but issues noted
dusty room leaking ceiling
The location proved useful as it was close to town beach, pier, bus stop, and theatre.
The room was dusty AND dirty, a significant oversight I found unacceptable. The ceiling in the bathroom leaked. Water dripped down from the room above. It is concerning that maintenance issues are not addressed more promptly.

varied selection friendly staff sea view
I found the breakfast selection varied and hot. The staff were very friendly and polite. I got help quickly. My room had a sea view, a feature I enjoyed!
The lift was very small. It creaked often.

stained carpets weak pressure
the breakfast options were decent. it included a standard english breakfast.
The building reminded me of it needed a complete overhaul. carpets were stained, and the cold tap in the bathroom didn't work. the water pressure in the shower was weak. I barely felt it. the beds creaked loudly with every movement.
